Halloween 2008

Not sure what to wear this year? I started a month early in the hunt for a Halloween costume, but the search left me disappointed. I'm not too interested in being a character from Batman or a politician, and the thought of wearing a dress that fits a size 2 with my butt hanging out wasn't exactly appealing either. The costumes I've seen look super cheap and not creative enough to pay some $60! This lead to my decision to make my costume... a daunting task since the last time I sewed was in highschool. I discovered great ideas including those from my friend Elizabeth to be a polaroid picture and lawn gnome. I also saw great costumes at my work party (shown above) like my girls who decided to go as 80's/Saved by the Bell. So what will you be this year? I will be Alice in Wonderland... a sort of innocent, twisted goth version. I hope this weekend I can get amazing photos of Cincinnati's best to show you in my next post!

Clarissa Explains it All... Even Me

As complex as I am, my friend Margaret and I have found a way to describe me and my life, through someone who touched our lives at a very young age. Do you remember Clarissa Explains it All? Well this photo explains it all... all of my life.

BCBGeneration

If you haven't heard, let me introduce you to the latest and hottest addition to the Kenwood Macys: BCBGeneration. This line is perfection. I've always loved the unique details, cuts, and fabrics of the BCBG brand, but it has been somewhat unaffordable... until now! The BCBGeneration collection consists of trendy yet sophisticated styles, day and night apparel, and fabulous dresses. The downside: these clothes are still pricey, but instead of a $400 dress, they run around $100. Also, since the line is new to our Macys, the collection is small compared to what you might find on the site. Check out just how beautiful these pieces are at www.bcbgeneration.com.

Glam Rock Rings

From London straight to Hollywood, Stephen Webster is an amazing jewelry designer. His pieces are luxurious and stunning, with a kick of rock and roll. His work has attracted some of Hollywood's most glamourous clients including Christina Aguilera. See for yourself at his site www.stephenwebster.com. There are several themed collections with designs ranging from contemporary to lavish. My personal favorite is Goldmine, a collection of rings made with an edgy studded effect that surrounds a gemstone (shown above or buy it here).
