UA Test Drive Conclusion

The Under Armour Test Drive has successfully ended. I am in LOVE with all my new gear and have enjoyed using it since the first day I got it! Have you tried any UA clothes? What do you think? I hope you've enjoyed watching my progress of increasing my workouts and trying out the products.

Fashionably Yours,
Steph

Tuesday Night Volleyball Video

Tuesday Night Volleyball

Volleyball rocked tonight. We won our first game and everyone played really well! You can tell from the video how alive Sandbar was and the energy from it. It was over 80 degrees in the afternoon and somehow got cooler in the evening so the UA capris were perfect for the game. I love them, you need to get a pair!

An Awesome Week 2 Run

I just went running in my 3rd and final pair of Under Armour shorts. I ran through my neighborhood for about 30 minutes. The shorts fit really well, but running in the was a different story! They were the 2 inch shorts; the shortest pair I bought. I was a little uncomfortable, but they still worked great! Hopefully after the third week of running I'll feel much better about myself in them. I loved the color and stayed cool. When I put them on I noticed a semi circle on the back. It was a pocket for a house key or anything small you might need to take with you on your run! What an awesome idea! The socks were also great, and my hair band worked much better on this run. Perhaps more sweat kept it in place!? I can't believe how much I'm running just because I have new workout clothes and really like them! I might invest in some more next week :)

Going Strong in Week 2

Tuesday, May 12th
It was gorgeous out today so I played my volleyball game in my gray and coral shorts. A great choice since it got up to like 80 degrees! We didn't win, but at least I felt good and looked good!

Thursday, May 14th
Its been raining all week so today I worked out on the treadmill in our gym. I wore my longer blue shorts. It was really hot in the room but the shorts were really cool. I even got a complement! I lifted some weights as well. Good thing I wore the longer shorts!

Saturday Morning Run

This morning I tried my longer UA shorts, socks, hair band AND tank-top today! I intended to run for 30 minutes and ended up going for about 45. The run was great, and all my UA gear worked as it should. I liked the longer shorts because they didn't show as much leg, but they were still more feminine than ones I've worn in the past. They stayed put again, never falling down or riding up. The tank top was actually longer than I thought it should be, but it still fit great and kept me cool. I really liked how it was razor back too. The hair band was nice at the beginning of the run, but started to slip off. It got annoying to keep putting it back in place. I think I will use it for activities other than running. I was surprised the most by my socks. They were really comfortable! I didn't notice my feet sweating or sliding in my shoes. I realized how much a good sock can make a difference during a run! I've got one more pair of shorts to try out and already in one week I've tested almost all of my Under Armour gear. (It's been so great, I might buy more gear!)

Week 1 Test Drive Video

Run Through the Park

Tonight I ran about 45 minutes in my grey and coral Under Armour shorts. I ran about 25 minutes to a park, walked around for another 20, and then ran back. The shorts were great! They were light, I stayed cool, and there was no ridding up or chafing! I wasn't sure how the brief inside would feel or even work as I ran, but it didn't bother me at all. The shorts didn't fall down or move up onto my stomach, they stayed right where they needed to. I never had to fidget with them. I'm really excited to try out my other UA shorts.

First Fitness Tests

Me in my capris after the PiG! I also tried on my new Under Armour shoes.

I started the Under Armour challenge with a bang. My first fitness test was at 13 mile walk! Yes, I started the challenge walking 13 miles in the Cincinnati Flying Pig. The event was so exciting and I felt it would be the perfect opportunity to use my capris. The fit was excellent and made my legs feel great. I was ready to be active. It was a little chilly out around 6:30am when the walk started so the carpris were the right amount of clothing. Throughout the entire walk, the my legs felt great, and I never got too hot even though the temperature did! I finished the half marathon, excited that my new capris were perfect for the event. I will definitely want to purchase more in the future.

Tuesday, May 5th
Since I loved my UA capris so much, I wore them for my volley ball tonight. It was a later game and still chilly out so they kept me warm before I started and didn't make me hot as I played. They held up yet again, I felt great, and more than that, I felt really cute in them! I also tried out my UA hair bands. They looked good and held back my longer bangs. I'm not sure how well they hold up running because they slipped off a little, but I will try them out on the next run.

Day 1: Receive UA Gear

I got my Under Armour clothing and gym shoes today! How exciting! I ordered 3 pairs of shorts, capri pants, a tank top, t-shirt, and hair bands. I also received my socks and gym shoes. The first thing I noticed was that the colors looked good on the site, but looked even better in person. The second thing I did was try everything on! Most of the fits were excellent. True to the sizes on the site, my shorts and capris fit amazingly well. (The toughest part of my body to fit!) The running shorts were light and didn't cling to my legs. I bought the fitted capris which also didn't squeeze my legs. I didn't feel large in them either! The tank-top fit well, but I thought it would be a little smaller. I had the biggest problem with my t-shirt. It was soo tight! I bought the "compressed" fit so I knew it would be tight on my body, but not completely unflattering! More than that, it was white so you could see through it... I suggest buying a looser fit. The other problem I had was with the Under Armour gym shoes. They were a little too small. I have wider feet, and typically wear a size 8.5 US, but the UA, 8.5 size shoe was too tight to. I also wasn't very thrilled with the black shoe and pink trim color either. I prefer more lighter colors, especially to match the clothes I bought. However, in the right size and more desirable color, I'd love these shoes. The shape and design on them was sweet! Other than that, the rest of the clothes not only fit well, I felt really good in them. I looked athletic and I couldn't wait to get the challenge started.
